BYOB's goldmine does a good job of showing what BYOB is all about and why it's such a chill forum. It's not mean-spirited at all, I think there is a sort of whimsy quality to it. Even if the Comment Box has not brought change to the other forums, I think BYOB still pleases goons who just want to hang out and have a good time without any of the bullshit.
But does that mean that Lowtax has really learned his lesson?
NO and he is proving it in BYOB to boot!
"I'm thinking of offering a recurring fee upgrade for the forums
like a "megaplatinum" usergroup...like for $7.95 a month you'd get unlimited avatar changes and a bigger PM box and a gay yellow star and I dunno, something else"
But BYOB gave honest feedback without being jerks about it, and they convinced Lowtax that his idea for a monthly fee providing like 2 new features was ridiculous! It is obvious he hadn't really thought it through, and was fishing in BYOB to see if anyone would go for it anyway. Good job 'yob!
