RATF RIP?

Update: "Debt" removes the Last Measure redirect & offers this explanation for RATF's end. Of course he titles it "Game Over" just as he did TFPS's last entry.

I wish that the given explanation were true, because The Comment Box is terribly ineffective, and he did sadly spend a lot of time & effort lobbying for it; however, knowing that Debt is Ice Traigh rewrites the entire history of RATF and - more importantly - undermines all of those goons who supported reforms in the SA community.

Ice Traigh says he was Debt, which would make sense given the simultaneous collapse of "The Front Page Sucks" and RATF. It'd also make sense because we know he was more than one of RATF's former writers, and many more than one blog troll.

So basically this, if true, would mean that RATF was never at all an attempt to improve SA; it was merely a gambit by Ice Traigh to leave his mark on the forums and massage his ego.

Effort. But it paid off in the form of The Comment Box, I suppose. If you're the type to consider that a payoff after a couple months of schizophrenic blogging: firing yourself, trolling yourself, writing a score of in-depth articles as well as perhaps hundreds of comments - and adopting several different identities to do it.

This, if true, also means that we brought RATF down last night when Ice Traigh shit his pants following this post.

Either way, he remains a sterling example of an Internet user whose waning self-esteem was warped by the SA community into something worse. Dare I say, "something..."? Nah, I won't say it.
